Colossi and Guardians
Drawing of Erased Day 3
The Colossi
Scattered throughout Satori are ancient, colossal machines known as the Colossi. According to legend, these machines fell from the heavens like comets, their arrival causing cataclysmic changes. While some Colossi remain dormant, others continue to function, their purpose inscrutable to the people of Satori.
Colossi are often mistaken for being part of Genesis' divine entourage, but they are distinct from the true Guardians. The Colossi inspire awe and fear, seen as relics of a forgotten age. They are studied extensively in nations like Progenix and Antagon, where scholars and engineers seek to understand their advanced technology.
The Guardians
The Guardians are revered as mythical beings, the divine enforcers of Genesis' will. These awe-inspiring creatures are believed to maintain the balance of Satori, embodying the power and authority of the goddess. Legends tell of their role in wiping entire civilizations from existence, actions believed to be carried out to preserve the world's harmony.
Unlike the Colossi, the true nature of the Guardians is shrouded in mystery. While a select few scholars and technomancers suspect these beings might be technological constructs, the majority of Satori's populace views them as celestial dragons, creatures of immense power serving directly under Genesis. This perception is reinforced by their extraordinary abilities and the myths surrounding their origin and purpose.
